In response to the dramatic increase in COVID-19 infections, the Alert Category at ÐßÐßÊÓƵ has been raised to Category C (Emergency). We ask the entire ÐßÐßÊÓƵ community for your continued understanding and cooperation.

Seiichi Matsuo, President of ÐßÐßÊÓƵ
To all students, faculty and staff of ÐßÐßÊÓƵ:
At present, the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is rapidly spreading across Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, and indeed the entire nation. This spread has been startlingly swift, and it has been particularly drastic in recent days.
In response to this urgent situation, ÐßÐßÊÓƵ has decided to raise the Alert Category to Category C (Emergency), as well as enforce stricter Activities Guidelines for all activity types. I would like to take this moment to clarify the policy at ÐßÐßÊÓƵ, promptly inform all members of ÐßÐßÊÓƵ, and request your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines.
We also face a critical challenge in that final examinations are scheduled to begin July 27. This is a sudden decision, but in-person examinations will be canceled, and final examinations will be administered by other means.
I understand that students, faculty, and staff alike will be greatly inconvenienced by the sudden changes we have decided to make to the Alert Category and Activities Levels in response to the recent dramatic spread in COVID-19 infections. Our top priority is to protect the health of our community by taking thorough measures to prevent infections from spreading while minimizing the impact on education, research, and other activities at ÐßÐßÊÓƵ. Let us work together to overcome this crisis.
I greatly appreciate your continued understanding and cooperation in these difficult times. Thank you.
